LYNDHURST, NJ/TEANECK, NJ-- Lance Hollner, sales director of Encelium Technologies of Teaneck, NJ, recently presented a “Green Design & Retrofitting” program as part of the Sustainable Business & Technology Seminar. Sponsored by the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission’s Environment Center and its Center for Environmental and Scientific Education, the day-long sustainability seminar drew more than 300 attendees.
Hollner focused his break-out session on the key energy loads of commercial buildings such as lighting and the potential of integrated lighting control systems to significantly reduce energy costs.
He detailed advanced technologies in a lighting control system, such as daylight harvesting, personal control, occupancy sensors and load shedding, that allow the system to serve as the foundation for a property-wide energy efficiency strategy. A lighting industry expert with six years of experience, Hollner provided case studies, specifying energy savings and ROI for property owners, followed by a Q&A session. Anthony Sblendorio, CEO of Ecological, LLC of Manhattan, also served as a presenter on “Green Design & Retrofitting.”
Hollner joined Encelium Technologies in 2008. The technology development firm specializes in state-of-the-art, integrated lighting control systems for commercial buildings. Encelium’s hallmark product, the Energy Control System™ (ECS), is designed to reduce lighting-related costs by 50 to 75 percent for both new construction and retrofitted buildings.
