WASHINGTON--Steven B. Hochhauser, senior vice president of Ingersoll Rand and president of its Residential Solutions business, will be speaking at the Great Energy Efficiency Day 2010 conference, hosted by the Alliance to Save Energy, as part of panel discussion Building for the Future: EE Technologies for Today and Tomorrow. The panel will explore how new technologies are improving energy consumption.
Every year, buildings consume one-third of the energy used and this figure is expected to grow as the population and demographics change. Discovering and implementing energy efficient technologies has real economic and environmental benefits and these advancements are dependent on the successful intersection between business innovation and public policy.
During the session, Hochhauser will present existing energy efficient technologies for commercial and residential buildings, the tangible benefits associated with energy efficiency and the need to remove obstacles to promote even more efficiencies.
The panel will feature commentary from industry leading efficiency and sustainability experts from around the country.
