Eden Organix Hosts Event to Promote Green Living Posted By Betsy Kraat

TRENTON, NJ--We Are BOOST, Valarie Mason-Robinson, Peter Abrams, Lydia Chambers, Anastasia Harrison, Patricia Gaylor, and Larry Menkes will participate in a day-long event on December 18 designed to promote easy ways to turn obstacles into opportunities for sustainable homes, businesses, and communities.

This event will take place at Eden Organix, located at 245 Raritan Avenue in Downtown Highland Park. Admission is free, and a portion of the proceeds of all product sales and services rendered will be donated to help women, children, and the environment.

Eden owner, Valarie Mason-Robinson and a consortium of environmental advocates, green builders and interior designers, artists and sculptors, merchandisers, and community organizers will play host to a series of video screenings, workshops, and panel-style discussions. The line-up of presenters and exhibits will include:

* All day exhibit: Peter Abrams of Modern Metal Work and Trenton Atelier

* 11am - Presenter and Exhibit: Lydia Chambers of Back2Tap Stainless Steel Bottles - Lydia Chambers, co-founder of Back2Tap, LLC; a green triple bottom line business to combat the wastefulness of bottled water.

* 11:45am – 1pm -- Anastasia Harrison for Clean Solutions and Wesketch Architecture + Design - AIA, LEED-AP, IAQA

* 2:00pm – 3pm: Lynne Templeton for Greenable Building Supplies + Design of Philadelphia PA – American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA)

* 3:30pm – 4:30pm: Patricia Gaylor for Patricia Gaylor Interior Design, on how to create new spaces with minimal environmental impact.

* 5:00pm Special presentation with questions and answers with Larry Menkes, founder and coordinator of the ECLA PA (Earth Charter Lifeboat Academy of Pennsylvania), the Post Carbon Institute's first outpost in PA.
