ALEXANDRIA, VA--The inaugural Greener by Design event, an interactive, two-day event focusing on the greening of mainstream products by combining first-rate speakers and panelists with a unique approach to innovation called Systematic Inventive Thinking.
SIT helps companies become more innovative, applying the unique Systematic Inventive Thinking® method to its clients' business challenges. Since 1994 SIT has worked with more than 700 companies in 50 countries worldwide in the areas of New Product Development, Problem-Solving, Strategy and MarCom. SIT also works together with companies to find their sustainability "sweet-spot" – solutions that are at once sustainable and innovative.
Participants will hear from leading companies large and small, as well as the top green product designers and participate in innovative techniques that combine the best elements of a traditional conference and an experiential workshop.
Building Green practices into the event planning for the Greener by Design conference is important to the group. For example, marketing efforts were completely web-based and done by choosing association partners who share a sustainability vision. There was no printed invitation mailed for this event.
All printing for the event was done with green standards in place, from using 100% post-consumer recycled paper, supplied by our sponsor, Mohawk, to choosing a local printer with green practice standards intact.
Show bags, made from recyclable materials, will be supplied by Item Group.
