NEW YORK--Extell Development Company’s The Lucida, the Upper East Side’s first LEED-Certified residential green building, is the first condominium to reach out to New York City taxicab riders and potential buyers with a television segment from Open House TV broadcast on Taxi 2.0, the interactive television installed in New York City taxis.
Interested parties can take a virtual tour of the 21- story Lucida while rushing through midtown or stuck in the Mid-Town Tunnel. Each time a new fare enters a taxi the interactive television will play the Open House TV (www.openhousenyc.tv) 90-second broadcast of The Lucida’s stunning two bedroom, two and one half bath model apartment hosted by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group broker Jarrod Randolph.
The response to the Lucida segment has been so successful that Extell’s Avery on Riverside South will also be featured in an upcoming segment.
Open House TV is an NBC production that airs Sunday mornings at 8:30 on Channel 4. The segment originally ran in mid-March and proved so successful that an edited 90-second version is now being broadcast in New York City taxis, according to Raizy Haas, of Extell Development Company.
The Lucida on Open House TV will run through mid-May in 1000 taxicabs. The sales and design center is located at 1235 Lexington Avenue. Occupancy is slated for late 2008.
