For instance, a typical truckload shipped from New York City to Los Angeles generates an estimated 6.28 metric tons of CO2, contributing to global warming. Through Delivered GrEAn(TM) , EA Logistics computes emissions for each shipment(s) based on distance, weight and mode of transportation and offsets 100% of these emissions by purchasing carbon credits from Carbonfund.org, one of the nation’s leading carbon reduction and offset organizations.
After a shipment has been delivered, the shipper gets a receipt documenting the amount of CO2 that is being offset, which can be addressed to the client or the client's customer. The program can be further tailored to meet the specific requirements of different industry sectors, including supply chain, retail, marketing and manufacturing.
