OAKLAND, NJ-- The Dewey Electronics Corporation announced today the award of a $989,576 subcontract from Fibertek, Inc. of Herndon, VA, as part of the U.S. Government's 2kW Military Tactical Generator (MTG) Product Improvements -- Engine prime contract DAAB07-01-D-G602.

This contract covers the efforts to successfully qualify an EPA compliant diesel engine for use in the 2kW portable Military Tactical Generator product line.

This engineering and test effort will be conducted at Dewey's Oakland facility and should be completed by November of 2008. Successful first article testing will result in the probable incorporation of the EPA compliant engine as part of the baseline for the 120V AC and 28V DC variants of the Department of Defense Mobil Electric Power Standard 2kW generator sets currently manufactured by Dewey.
