Three Gorges Could Spell Disaster By Jodi LaMarco

Chinese officials have admitted that the Three Gorges Dam is a source of erosion and pollution that could "lead to a catastrophe" according to Xinhua news.

Erosion caused by Three Gorges has already lead to deadly landslides, as well as the collapse of reservoir's shoreline in 91 places. The Chinese government has expressed concern over the situation, but has not yet drafted a concrete plan to tackle the problem.
