There's a Market For Everything By Jodi LaMarco

The expanding travel business of Eco-tourism has begun to feature a new attraction: destinations offering an up-close look at the effects of climate change.

While some worry that the trips themselves add to the problem by producing greenhouse gas emissions, getaways to Greenland, Norway, the Arctic Circle, and the Swiss Alps are rapidly gaining in popularity.

Hansruedi Burgener of Switzerland has successfully marketed the collapse of a large glacial mountain by offering accomodations with a commanding view of the spectacle, and introducing a coffee and liqueur mix dubbed the "Rockslide." Burgenir explained that while climate change is regrettable, "...it's made the hostel famous, and that's good for me."
