Pollution Causes More Then Just Asthma

Scientists say that pollution can cause the lungs to produce a blood-clotting compound called interleukin-6, increasing the likelihood of heart attacks and strokes.
The findings, which appeared in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, followed a study in the New England Journal of Medicine regarding the recovery rates of heart attack survivors exposed to diesel fumes.
