Protecting New Jersey's Ocean Posted By Jodi LaMarco

The Senate Environmental Committee has decided that bill S-2645--legislation that would create a New Jersey Coastal and Ocean Protection Council--is ready to be voted on.

If passed into law, the new council would work to improve the overall environmental health of New Jersey's coastline.

"We cannot sit back and watch as our marine ecosystem dies. Too much is at stake, and we must take action now," says the bill's sponsor, Senator Ellen Karcher.
