A Breath of Fresh Air By Jodi LaMarco

PPL Corp., a coal-fired plant in Pennsylvania adjacent to Warren County, New Jersey, will close down this weekend.

Jeff Tittel of the Sierra Club applauded the closure of PPL saying, "The biggest source of pollution in Warren County fades into the sunset. It's an important victory for the lungs of the people in Warren County."

It has been estimated that one out of every five people in neighboring White Township and Belvidere between the ages of five and 20 suffer from asthma.
