MTA Goes Green Posted By Jodi LaMarco

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has announced that it is in the process of creating an eco-friendly plan to reduce emissions.

“The issue of global warming is arguably the most significant challenge our generation faces and it’s important that the MTA do its part,” said MTA Executive Director Elliot Sanders.

Other possibilities for green solutions include the employment of green roofs to combat subway flooding and the use of renewable energy at some of the MTA’s smaller facilities.
