The Blacksmith Institute has published a list of the top 30 most polluted places in the world.

Data was compiled by comparing the level of toxicity, the probability of human contamination, and the number of individuals who suffered side-effects.

Top Ten Most Polluted Cities:

Chernobyl, Ukraine
Dzerzinsk, Russia
Kabwe, Zambia
La Oroya, Peru
Linfen, China
Norilsk, Russia
Sukinda, India
Sumqayit, Azerbaijan
Tianying, China
Vapi, India
