Volvo Betting On Fuels of the Future By Jodi LaMarco

On Wednesday,Volvo presented its new series of truck engines that have been designed to run on alternative fuels such as biogas and synthetic diesel.

The engines are not yet ready for mass production, but could come to market if sufficient quantities of renewable fuels become available.

Chief executive for Volvo, Leif Johansson, said, "The message here today is that, had the fuels been available, we (Volvo vehicles) could have been carbon dioxide-free within just a few years."
