The Nations Gather By Jodi LaMarco

Experts representing over 100 countries have gathered at the United Nations Summit on Climate Change in Vienna in the hopes of ultimately influencing policies that could impact contributions to global warming.

Chief U.N. climate official, Yvo de Boer, commended the E.U. on its target goal of reducing emissions by 20 percent by 2020, which could increase an additional 10 percent if other nations contribute to the cause.

The U.N. Framework Convention on climate change reported that private businesses must spend $210 billion annually to keep emissions from rising beyond current levels by 2030.
