Sony Creates Sugar-Battery Posted By Jodi LaMarco

Sony has engineered a sugar-powered battery that can produce 50 milliwatts of energy.

In addition to using an environmentally-friendly sugar solution to generate its power, the shell of the battery is also made from vegetable-based plastic. The company hopes to eventually make the new product available for commercial use.
