On Tuesday, the U.S. District Court determined that the Bush administration must release its research plan on climate change by March 1, 2008, as well as an assessment of the impact of global warming on the nation by May 31, 2008.
Judge Saundra Armstrong ruled in favor of a law suite filed by the Center for Biological Diversity, Greenpeace, and Friends of the Earth, who claim that global warming data has been purposely withheld.
The government is required to issue a new research plan every three years, and new global warming data every four years, however, the documents are overdue by one and three years respectively.
