Keeping your Pedal Off the Metal By Jodi LaMarco

Nissan will soon equip all of its new models with a "fuel-efficiency" gauge that will let drivers know how much gas they are burning.

Spokesman Tony Pearson described the concept by saying, "You will become a little less lead-footed if you can see what putting your foot to the pedal does to your fuel economy."

The gauge is already available on Nissan's 2007 Altima, Infiniti G35, and 2008 Titan pickup truck as well as on other select models.
