Do As I Say, Not As I Do By Jodi LaMarco

Environmentalists have criticized Home Depot for advertising its "Eco Options" brand of earth-friendly products through Fox News, a move that many find hypocritical in light of the network's sceptical attitude towards global warming.

VP for environmental innovation at Home Depot, Ron Jarvis, defended the company's decision by saying, “It’s not our place to judge Fox News’s position or any other media outlet’s position on global warning. Nor will we try to influence that position with our advertising dollars. We’re advertisers, not censors.”

Groups such as the Sierra Club and MoveOn.org have said that they plan to deliver copies of a petition signed by 40,000 protesters to stores across the country beginning Tuesday.
