Capping Carbon Won't Kill US
By Jodi LaMarco
The EPA has reported that a proposed cap on the nation’s CO2 emissions would only reduce economic growth by 1.6 percent by 2030.
Opponents of carbon capping have previously argued that such actions would hurt the U.S. economy.
The analysis came at the request of Senators Joseph Lieberman and John McCain, who have created a bill that would reduce carbon emissions to 65 percent below 1990 levels by 2050 if passed into law.
