Shopping Green In Chicago By Jodi LaMarco

Baum Development has purchased a 93-year-old factory in Chicago that will soon be converted into a shopping center exclusively for “green” vendors.

Dubbed the “Green Exchange,” the 250,000 square foot landmark will house 100 businesses, including an electric car dealership and a “tree free” paper company.

Renovations such as the installation of a power-saving escalator, green roofing, and other additions will help to make the building itself more environmentally conscious.
