People Tuning in to Global Warming By Jodi LaMarco

Al Gore is sponsoring a contest in which entrants will create television and Internet ads to promote awareness about global warming. Gore said that he intends to raise millions of dollars to pay for television commercials, and also expects to broadcast the message through internet sites such as MySpace and YouTube.

"The way nations and societies make up their minds in the modern age has more to do with mass advertising that many of us purists would like," says Gore, "but that's the reality."
