Seeking Alternatives

The U.S. Energy Department will invest as much as $375 million toward three new bioenergy research centers in hopes of reducing national dependency on foreign oil.
Located in Tennessee, Wisconsin, and California, the new facilities will work to develop more efficient techniques of producing biofuels such as cellulosic ethanol.
