Not-for-profit New York Sun Works has created a floating farm that runs on wind and solar power as well as biofuel.

The “Science Barge” uses rain and purified riverwater to water its crops, and produces no waste or carbon emissions. The project is intended to educate visitors on the benefits of sustainability.
