It's Never Too Late to Go Green By Jodi LaMarco

Green funerals are fast becoming a way for individuals to reduce pollution.

Joe Sehee of the Green Burial Council in Los Angelos reports that one million gallons of potentially toxic embalming fluids are released into North American soil annually. Green funerals do not involve embalming, and use shrouds or biodegradable caskets.

Dorothy Yada of the Memorial Society of British Columbia says, "Having a green burial is one more thing a person can do to lessen the impact we're having on our environment."
